For the construction of conventional lightning protection systems we use the experience of company “SCHIRTEC” – Austria, but in accordance with the Bulgarian normative documents in force.
We use conductors made of zinc-covered steel, aluminum alloy and copper. We put these conductors by technical equipment that gives the possibility for their perfect straightening.
For lightning conductor mounting under thermo- and hydro-isolations we use aluminum conductor ø 8mm, extruded with fireproof polymeric coating.
Because of the large variety of roof constructions, we use different types of mounting pieces. They ensure reliable lightning protection systems, as well as aesthetic shape of roof construction. In this way, lightning protection system could be mounted when the roof constructions are yet completed.
The mounting of lightning mesh on flat roof constructions is realized through perfectly straightened conductor ø 8mm made of aluminum alloy or hot-dipped zinc-covered steel or copper. The available technical equipment allows the conductor straightening to take place just on the roof construction, so the mounting time is reduced many times.
The straighten conductor is put on freely laid concrete support blocks with foamed plastics "sole”. The foamed plastics "sole” does not allow the concrete block to “cling” into hydroisolation and to damage it during high summer temperatures.
Electrical connections are realized through special terminal connectors.
To construct lightning protection of tiled roof constructions we do not use only the classic lightning rod but very often we use the mesh method.
In this case we use constructed made for this purpose brackets and mounting pieces for crest and flat tiles, for lightning conductors and down conductors, as well as small lightning mast for chimneys and on-the-roof-equipments. This method ensures not only reliable lightning protection but also nice aesthetic shape of roof construction.
Very often lightning conductors or down conductors are mounted in open-air; the accomplishment is hidden along gutters and drain-pipes. The connection between down conductors and earth termination systems is realized inside a hermetic box for inspection that is mounted accurately and does not make look ugly building facade.

We build a special “isolated” lighting protection system for separately standing equipments to protect them from direct lightning hits.
We are specialized to build non-conventional earth termination systems in specific conditions such as:
- Earth termination systems, like earthing grid with earthing resistance lower than 0.5 ohms for providing the protection of computer configurations of HiTech Business Centre – Sofia;
- working out of earth termination systems in hard accessible and rocky areas. In many cases to work out earth termination systems and contours we use the explosive demolition method with cumulative detonating charges. It is typical for the earthing of radio -TV repeaters, points of mobile operators etc.
ALL INCLUDED MATERIALS, MOUNTING PIECES AND ELEMENTS THAT WE USE IN THE DESIGN, CONSTRUCTION AND REPAIR OF LIGHTNING AND EARTHING SYSTEMS ARE PROVIDED WITH CERTIFICATES ACCORDING TO EUROPEAN STANDARDS LIGHTNING PROTECTION ORDERS.
PUTTING INTO OPERATION OF LIGHTNING AND EARTHING SYSTEMS THAT WE ARE BUILT, IS CERTIFICATED BY TEST REPORTS, ISSUED BY INDEPENDENT CONTROL AUTHORITY. |
